Planning Commission Meeting – Rock Creek, Lonza, and African Hair Braiding

Rescheduled from two weeks ago when a quorum of members could not be met, the Walkersville Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 7:30 p.m. in Walkersville’s Town Hall.

The meeting agenda will include the same items as previously schedule, which will be:

  • Lonza, a biotech and pharmacological company on Biggs Ford Road, will seek approval for an expansion of it’s driveway to loop around it’s facilities. Plans include more parking.
  • An African Hair Braiding service submitted an application for approval to operate in a portion of the old T.R. Saylor hardware store on Main Street.
  • Frederick County Public Schools submitted it’s site improvement plans for the building of a new Rock Creek School behind Walkersville Middle School on West Frederick Street.

Public Hearings of the Walkersville Planning Commission are open to the public with public comments permitted on the subjects being discussed on the agenda.
