MVA with Entrapment At Fountain Rock Rd. & Retreat Rd.
At 9:12 p.m. on September 9, 2016, Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Comapnies dispatched to the intersection of Fountain Rock Road and Retreat Road for a vehicle collision with entrapment.
Chief 24 arrived on the scene to find two vehicles in a t-bone collision with one patient still in a vehicle. After further investigation, it was found the male driver had moved to the passenger seat.
Engine 111 and Rescue Squad 24 arrived on the scene. Engine 111 pulled a trash line in case of any fire. Rescue Squad 24 crew began stabilization and assisted with patient packaging.
Ambulance 247 arrived on the scene and began patient care. One patient was transported by ground to Meritus Hospital in Hagerstown as priority 2.
Command was then terminated and units went in service at 21:41.
