Garbage Fire Dumped From Garbage Truck

Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company responded to a report of a vehicle fire on Adventure Avenue in Walkersville shortly after 3 p.m. on Thursday, February 22, 2018.

The contents of a garbage truck apparently caught fire. The crew dumped the load on Adventure Avenue just off of Woodsboro Pike.

Walkersville Elementary School students were delayed in getting home. Buses were not able to leave the school property onto Woodsboro Pike.

No further information has been released.
