Frederick County has earned its StormReady® certification from the National Weather Service. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will hold a Community Coordination & Outreach meeting for Frederick County residents from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the new preliminary Flood Insurance Study and Flood Insurance Rate Maps that are being updated to reflect new Base Flood Elevations and floodplain boundaries for affected communities within the county.
