A gang of thieving and harassing males continues to terrorize Old Town Walkerville. They steal vegetables, harass local females, and disturb the peace at all hours with their crowing about town. The gang of roosters has been an issue for weeks now. Frederick County Animal Control responded a few weeks ago, but could only catch a few of the mischievous cocks. Needles and Syringes Found at Playground

Used needles and syringes were found in the Walkersville Methodist Church playground and pavilion area. The church, located on Main Street in Walkersville, is home to a popular pre-school that also uses the playground. The parking lot adjacent to the playground and pavilion is a popular cut through for people walking from Colony Village to Old Town Walkersville. Similar needles and syringes have been found at the nearby tot lot in Colony Village. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Walkersville Resident State Troopers at 301-898-0200.

Officers with the Frederick Police Department responded to the WaWa in the 1000 block of West Patrick Street on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Police received a complaint advising two subjects were using heroin in a vehicle parked at the gas pumps. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the occupants of the vehicle, identified as Kimberly Jean Tobin of the 8000 block of Devon Lane in Walkersville, and Joseph Dennis Marshall of the unit block of Madison Avenue in Hagerstown. Police Raid Home and Make Arrest in Walkersville

Frederick County Sheriff’s Office made a strong show in Walkersville Tuesday morning. Residents were surprised by “SWAT Teams” blocking West Frederick Street and Fulton Avenue. Local radio personality, Bob Miller, even asked on social media what was going on in Walkersville. The target of law enforcment was a home in the second block of West Frederick Street.
