Barn Fire 1100BLK Dublin Rd
At 3:08 a.m. on September 20, 2016, Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies dispatched for a barn fire in the 1100 block of Dublin Road.
Engine 161 arrived on the scene to confirm a 300’ x 200’ barn fully involved with exposures.
Chief 11 arrived on the scene and established Dublin Road command. Chief 11 requested a tanker task force due to the fire being in a non-hydrant area.
The next unit arrived on the scene and picked up Engine 161 line.
Quint 11 arrived on the scene to set-up ladder pipe operations.
Engine Tanker 114 arrived on the scene and dropped their folding tank to setup water supply.
Engine 132 arrived and established a draft site.
All other units arrived on the scene and sent their personal to the command post. All tankers operated in a water shuttle operation.
After the fire was out Command was terminated and units went in service as ready.
