State Police Arrest Police Impersonator Attempting To Conduct Traffic Stop

Maryland State Police arrested a police impersonator attempting to conduct a traffic stop on I-695 last night. The accused is identified as Timothy Ervin Trivett, 54, of Yorktown, Virginia. Trivett was arrested on scene without incident and charged with impersonating a police officer and multiple handgun charges. He was the driver and sole occupant of a Chevy Impala involved in the incident. Narcotics Arrest

During the spring of 2019, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigation Section received credible information that an individual was distributing heroin throughout the Frederick County area. As a result, the Narcotics Investigation Section initiated a criminal drug distribution investigation. On June 12th, 2019, a detective with the narcotics section obtained information that this individual traveled to Baltimore to purchase heroin. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Proactive Criminal Enforcement Team (PACE) was able to conduct a traffic stop on the individual’s vehicle in the Emmitsburg area for expired vehicle registration.…
