Walkersville Planning Commission Meeting
The Town of Walkersville’s Planning Commission will meet only once this month on Tuesday, November 18th at 7:30 p.m in the Walkersville Town Hall. The Planning Commission plans to continue and possibly forward several ordinances to the Burgess and Town Commissioners for approval. They have been working on these ordinances for most of the year. Glade Elementary Buddies Against Bullies
Glade Elementary School is spending the week working to make their school bull-free. Buddies Against Bullies Awareness Week takes place this week. The school’s Girls on the Run team will be speaking on the morning announcements each day of the week. They will be sharing strategies with students for addressing bullying. Tips include how to respond to a bully, and getting help from an adult. The young ladies created posters to promote their campaign against bullying. The posters are being displayed around the school.
