Walkersville Audit Shows Strong Finances

The Town of Walkersville hired auditors to review its finances, and received the report from auditors Wednesday evening. Smith Elliot Kearns and Company, LLC audited the town’s records before presenting its report during the Walkersville Town Meeting. Revenue for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2015 exceeded budgeted expectations by more than $550,000. Cash in the Town’s General Fund increased more than $630,000 compared to last year. At 7:59 a.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2015, Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company, Walkersville Volunteer Rescue Company, and Lewistown Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched for a vehicle accident with roll over at U.S. 15 and Old Frederick RD. BC902 arrived on the scene with an updated location of the crash, U.S. 15 and Sundays Lane. BC902 reported one car rolled over and a patient out of the vehicle. Ambulance 229 arrived on the scene to start with patient care. Rescue Squad 24 blocked traffic and controlled leaking fluids. Engine 221 arrived…
