Since moving to Walkersville, Mike and Emily's three children were born and attend local public schools. Mike also owns Digital Age Solution, an I.T. firm offering Managed Services, Computer Repairs & Sales, Voice Over IP Telephone Service, Networking, and Software Engineering. Mike actively participates in the community in various roles including: Walkersville Planning & Zoning Commission Member, Kaleidoscope 4-H Club Leader, Friends of Walkervsille Library, Vice-President, Frederick County 4-H Camp & Activities Center, Inc. Walkersville Invites Bids to Lease Walker Farm

The Town of Walkersville is accepting sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 for the leasing of approximately 200 acres of agricultural land for the planting, growing and harvesting of crops at the Walker Farm located at 8939 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD. The lease runs from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017. As a follow-up to the October public meeting and discussions about Walkersville crime, the Town of Walkersville invites the public to a Citizens’ Public Information Presentation. Mrs. Shirley Jane Duvall Zimmerman, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving family and her caregivers at Homewood at Crumland Farms. Shirley was born on January 1, 1931, in Damascus, Maryland. She was the eighth of nine children of the late Morgan Oliver Duvall and Fay Huntington Watkins Duvall. Shirley graduated from Damascus High School as president of her class. She loved school and playing sports. She left Damascus to attend Towson State Teachers College.
