Mike is the publisher and editor of GladeValley.net. After growing up on a farm in Frederick County, Mike moved to Walkersville with his wife to start their family. Since moving to Walkersville, Mike and Emily's three children were born and attend local public schools. Mike also owns Digital Age Solution, an I.T. firm offering Managed Services, Computer Repairs & Sales, Voice Over IP Telephone Service, Networking, and Software Engineering. Mike actively participates in the community in various roles including: Walkersville Planning & Zoning Commission Member, Kaleidoscope 4-H Club Leader, Friends of Walkervsille Library, Vice-President, Frederick County 4-H Camp & Activities Center, Inc. Board Member, Federated Charities, and more.

The Glade Valley Scout Troops will host CubMudder, a free obstacle course for boys and girls aged 4 – 14 years old. The CubMudder will be held on May 21, 2016 at the Walkersville Community Park from Noon until 4:00 p.m.. The event is free and open to all children. Registration will open at 12:00 p.m. The first wave of participants will be released at 12:30. Mr. Donald Wilford Bell, 82, longtime Walkersville farmer, died peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Frederick Memorial Hospital following complications from a stroke. She was the wife of Larry Gene Jarvis, Jr. They just celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary. Born January 1, 1965 in Frederick, she was the daughter of Jim and Louise Stup of Walkersille.
