Mike is the publisher and editor of GladeValley.net. After growing up on a farm in Frederick County, Mike moved to Walkersville with his wife to start their family. Since moving to Walkersville, Mike and Emily's three children were born and attend local public schools. Mike also owns Digital Age Solution, an I.T. firm offering Managed Services, Computer Repairs & Sales, Voice Over IP Telephone Service, Networking, and Software Engineering. Mike actively participates in the community in various roles including: Walkersville Planning & Zoning Commission Member, Kaleidoscope 4-H Club Leader, Friends of Walkervsille Library, Vice-President, Frederick County 4-H Camp & Activities Center, Inc. Board Member, Federated Charities, and more.

The WHS Athletics Boosters will be taking pre-orders and money for State Championship apparel for students on Friday, December 16 and Tuesday, December 20 during all lunch shifts. Walkersville Wins State Championship!

The Walkersville Lions triumphed 33-6 over the Elkton Golden Elks to win the Maryland State 2A Championship and finish 2016 with a perfect record of 14-0. Saturday’s game at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium in Annapolis closed out a record season for the Lions. Back at Walkersville High School for a Homecoming Victory Celebration, Coach Joe Polce said, “This is the best team to ever play football for Walkersville High School.” The team began forty years ago, and this was their first perfect season.
