Since moving to Walkersville, Mike and Emily's three children were born and attend local public schools. Mike also owns Digital Age Solution, an I.T. firm offering Managed Services, Computer Repairs & Sales, Voice Over IP Telephone Service, Networking, and Software Engineering. Mike actively participates in the community in various roles including: Walkersville Planning & Zoning Commission Member, Kaleidoscope 4-H Club Leader, Friends of Walkervsille Library, Vice-President, Frederick County 4-H Camp & Activities Center, Inc. Board Member, Federated Charities, and more.

Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies Annual Santa Parade

Santa will soon be making his way through the Walkersville Community. The Walkersville Fire & Walkersville Rescue Company Annual Santa Parade will take place on Sunday, December 18th. The parade will leave the fire station at 2 pm. The parade route will be posted when it is finalized. The parade route takes about two hours so, Santa may not be in your neighborhood until after 3:00. More details will be posted as Santa’s arrival time draws near. Thanks for all your support! Lawrence “Larry” William Abbott passed away early Saturday morning at his home in Walkersville. Larry was born on May 14, 1949 to the late Willis Robert and Marybelle Abbott in Bethesda, Maryland. Larry is survived by his wife of 34 years, Susan, his son Heath and wife Shaune of Smithsburg, and daughters Heather and husband David of Leesburg,Virginia, Sarah of Walkersville, and Michelle and husband Jay, also of Walkersville.
