Accident on Daysville Road
At 5:18 p.m. on August 5, 2015, units from Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies were dispatched for a vehicle accident in the area of the 9900 block of Daysville Road. While units were en route, dispatch advised that a single car was in a guard rail with one patient.
Ambulance 249 arrived on the scene to confirm dispatch with one vehicle and a patient still in the car. Engine 111 and Rescue Squad 24 arrived on the scene. The crews went to work stabilizing the vehicle and assisting the ambulance crew with removing the patient.
Command was established and Trooper 3 was requested due to the injuries of the patient. One patient was transported to Meritus Medical Center.
