Vehicle Fire
At 12:41 a.m. on January 7, 2015, units from Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies were dispatched for a vehicle fire at MD 194 and Stauffer Court.
Engine Tanker 114 arrived on the scene to find a vehicle fully involved. Ambulance 247 arrived and went on stand by.
The crew from Engine Tanker 114 began to make a quick knock on the fire, but quickly realized that the gas tank was leaking gas. One crew member quickly grabbed an ABC fire extinguisher to help control the fire. Due to the amount of gasoline in the car’s fuel tank, fire fighters employed foam and extinguished the fire.
Once the fire was out, the crew cleaned up the area and units returned to service.
