Accident at Monocacy River on MD 26
On August 19, 2015 at 5:43 p.m., units from Walkersville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Companies were dispatched for a vehicle accident at MD 26 and the Monocacy River.
Rescue Squad 24 arrived on the scene and advised Frederick County Emergency Communications Center that three vehicles were in the east-bound lane with one patient still in a car.
Engine 111 arrived on the scene shortly after and blocked traffic. Crews from both companies worked to control leaking fluids.
Ambulance 249 arrived on the scene to start patient care. No patients were transported and units went in service as ready.
