Walkersville Election Shapes Up
The Town of Walkersville will hold election for Burgess and Town Commissioners on Monday, September 14, 2015. Registered voters may cast their ballots from noon until 8 p.m.
Town Commissioner Chad Weddle will be running unopposed for Burgess of Walkersville. The Burgess serves as the chief executive officer and head of the administrative branch for the Town of Walkersville. Current Burgess Ralph Whitmore chose earlier in the year not to seek re-election.
The Town of Walkersville’s legislative branch consists of five Commissioners. Town Commissioners Debbie Zimmerman, Russell Winch, Donald Schildt, and Gary Baker will all seek re-election. Parks Committee member Mary Ann Brodie-Ennis and Planning Commission member Michael Kuster will also seek one of the five commissioner seats (Michael Kuster is the publisher of GladeValley.net).
