To support youth mentoring programs in Frederick County, The Robert L. De Lauter Youth Mentoring Fund has been established with The Community Foundation of Frederick County. The fund becomes one of more than 720 funds under management.
The fund was created by Robert L. De Lauter to help youth who need guidance, direction, and adults to assist them making good life choices. Grants may support, but are not limited to, youth mentoring programs such as Law Enforcement Explorer Post 1218, which allows local youth to learn about careers in law enforcement through training exercises and classroom sessions.
