Wrestlers Work Hard But Lose to Oakdale

WHS Lions Pride Original Story:

Mills Custom Wood Floors

by Nicole Cregger

They warm up first by running in a circle then did one on one stuff. To help get their blood flowing the wrestlers warm up so they don’t hurt themselves.

The first two matches before it actually starts are called exhibition matches and did not count toward the Varsity team score. The first match Amal Mehdiyeu won but for the second match he lost at time 1:34 minutes in.

Garrett Lowe took a little bit of time getting to the ground but Shemiah Sabvute had pinned him down with 1:34 minutes left.

Score 6 Lions 18 Oakdale

Gabriel Hernandez  held up until he had to restart and he lost at 1:09 time.

Garrett Broadhurst at 54.6 minutes he got his opponent on the mat. He got back up after being down.  No one got pinned in the first 2.00 minutes of the first round. Now onto the  second round  no one won on the second round. Now onto the third round at the very end of the time the other opponent was taken down

When it was Christian Isanogle match he had injured his opponent Zac Leskoski at 1:33 minutes in. He is okay the match is still on. They had to restart again because of the injury. No one got pinned for the first round. On the second round Zac Leskoski got off the mat at 1:04 minutes in.  With that they had to restart again with one person in the middle on his knees. They both did a good job and tried their hardest but at the end  Zac Leskoski had won this match.

The ending Score was 12 Lions 69 Oakdale. Walkersville tried their hardest when going up against Oakdale.

WHS didn’t have a lot of guys that went against Oakdale because they had many wrestlers sick or injured.
