Walkersville Responds to HAZMAT Call
At 7:17 p.m. on February 24, 2016, Walkersville Volunteer Volunteer Rescue Company was dispatched for Emergency Medical Services task force at 200 East Sixteenth Street in Frederick, Maryland.
Emergency Communications alerted Walkersville for two ambulances to assist st a nursing home facility due to a HAZMAT situation.
Ambulances 247 and 249 both arrived on the scene and reported to the staging area as directed by command. After further investigation of the situation, it was determined that the EMS task force was not needed and units from EMS task force cleared when ready.
