Upcoming Sheriff’s Office Events: National Night Out and Open House
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is inviting citizens to attend upcoming community events during the month of August. National Night Out will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 2nd, 2016 at the Middletown Carnival Grounds. On August 18th, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the Sheriff’s Office, Maryland State Police, Emergency Communications and other allied agencies will host its annual Open House event at the Frederick County Law Enforcement Center.
National Night Out is a program that heightens crime and drug awareness, generates support for anti-crime programs, strengthens neighborhood spirit, and sends a message to criminals that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. On August 18th, 2016, the Sheriff’s Office will be partnering with Frederick County Emergency Communications, the Maryland State Police, Frederick County Department of Fire and Rescue Services and other agencies to host its annual family-oriented Open House event at the Frederick County Law Enforcement Center (LEC), located at 110 Airport Drive East, Frederick. The event will include building tours, table and public safety vehicle displays, a hands-on crime scene station and K-9 demonstrations. Weather and conditions permitting, a Maryland State Police helicopter will make an appearance. Please contact Cpl.
