Spirit Week Begins With Maryland Day
by Danielle Tyler, a WHS Lions Pride Original Article
My personal opinion for Maryland day is that I’m from Maryland and I think it’s an awesome day because I have so many Maryland clothes, and my family are huge Maryland fans.
I asked a few students their opinion on the spirit day “Maryland “
Senior Ana Taylor said, “ I mean I like the Maryland day, but not a lot of people have the stuff. Of course I like wearing Maryland stuff, I’ve lived here my whole life”
Senior Jennifer Dintermen said, “ It’s okay, because nobody really participates in it, instead of a Maryland out I would do a USA out because not everyone likes Maryland”
Senior Jordan Middleton said, “ I mean I’m not from Maryland therefore I have nothing to wear, because I don’t have any Maryland stuff. I wish we could’ve done gender swap instead. “
Senior Regan Bernarboni said, “Yea it’s fine but I think we should’ve done gender swap because more people could have participated in it”
Senior Shelby WIlliams said, “ I have a lot of Maryland stuff but it doesn’t look like a lot people participated in it. I think instead of a Maryland Day we could’ve done a college day because not everyone likes Maryland.”
Junior Mackenzie Akers said, “ I like the idea of Maryland day; however a lot of people don’t have Maryland gear. I feel like they should’ve done a different spirit theme.”
Junior Savannah Koontz said,” I don’t think it’s a good spirit day because people wear Maryland stuff all the time so it’s not really different. “
