Sheriff’s Department Seeks Public Help to Identify Suspect

On Saturday, March 30th, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., deputies with the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office were at the New Market High’s convenience store conducting a business check when a marked Frederick County patrol vehicle in the parking lot had one of its tires intentionally deflated by an unidentified male. The male was seen inside of the store shortly before returning to the parking lot where he is then seen on surveillance footage entering a black or dark blue newer model BMW passenger car (2017-2019). The BMW is then seen pulling up next to the patrol vehicle where the same male exits, approaches, and bends down beside the same tire that was damaged/deflated. Deputies later exited the store and observed the damaged tire.

The suspect is described as a white male in his mid-30s to early-40s, 5’10”- 6’0”, 185-200 lbs., with short brown hair. He was wearing a green polo shirt, blue pants, and white Under Armour shoes. Surveillance photos are shown on the following page.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact DFC Bittenmaster at 301-600-3651. Additionally, you can always remain anonymous by calling the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 301-600-4131.
