New Library Presentation at Town Meeting Tonight
The Town of Walkersville will hold a Town Meeting this evening at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall.
Jessica El-Zeftawy from Frederick County Public Libraries will present to the Town Hall. The New Library will have a ground breaking ceremony next Monday.
The Burgess and Town Commissioners will discuss the Constant Yield Tax Rate. This is the rate at which property taxes will produce the same amount of income as the previous year. So, if property values rise, the constant yield tax rate is lower than the effective tax rate for the previous year.
The public is welcome to attend Town Meetings. The agenda allows for Citizen Questions and Concerns before the close of business.
