Notice is hereby given that sealed Proposals will be received by the Town of Walkersville, Maryland, 21 W. Frederick Street, Walkersville, Maryland 21793 for:
Glade Village Water Main Replacement
The principal features of work to be performed under this contract include, but are not limited to, the installation of approximately 3,250 LF, new 8-inch, Ductile Iron Pipe, above-ground temporary water main, pavement repair, proper trench restoration. The project limits are shown on the Contract Drawings. Coordination of and installation shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.
A Non-Mandatory Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on March 13, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Town Office, 21 W. Frederick St., Walkersville, Maryland 21793. The purpose of the conference is for answering questions, reviewing specifications, and terms and conditions, or considering any other issues raised by the attendees relating to this contract. Bidders are encouraged to visit the site prior to attending the Conference.
Sealed Proposals for this project will be received by the Town of Walkersville, Maryland, 21 W. Frederick St., Walkersville, Maryland 21793, until 02:00 PM, local time, on March 22, 2019 at which time and place they will be opened publicly and read aloud. Refer to Information to Bidders for bid submission requirements.
There is no charge for the electronic .pdf version of the bid documents. Bid Documents may be obtained by emailing Yunellis Morales-Matias at email@example.com.
The electronic .pdf Contract Documents will permit the bidder to take the Contract Documents to the “print shop” of their choice for printing. For the purposes of bidding, all Contract Documents used for bidding, must be printed in the size and resolution advertised.
No bids will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or a treasurer’s check drawn on a bank or a bid bond payable to the Town of Walkersville, Maryland, 21 W. Frederick St., Walkersville, Maryland 21793, in the amount of 5 percent of the total bid price.
In addition, the successful bidder will be required to furnish a Payment Bond and also a Performance Bond in the full amount of the Contract Award. The successful bidder will be required to give bond and comply with the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland respecting Contracts.
The Town of Walkersville, Maryland reserves the right to accept or reject any and/or all bids and to waive any informalitites or irregularities in the bidding.
