Deerfield Annual HOA Meeting
Deerfield Homeowner’s Association will be holding its annual meeting Thursday, November 19, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. All residents of the Deerfield Community are urged to attend and make their voices heard. The meeting will be held at the Walkersville Community Church at 207 Braeburn Drive.
During the meeting, general discussions will be held regarding the management of the HOA, the budget for 2016, the neighborhood watch, and the need for community members to join the Board.
The Board of Directors report their annual fees are the lowest in Walkersville (and Frederick County), ,because they are self-run. If residents do not take a more active role in the HOA, however, the services of a management company may be required.

- Landscape Committee,
- ARC Committee,
- Covenants Committee,
- Members-At-Large
According to its Fall 2015 Newsletter, the Deefield Homeowners Association Board of Directors consists of members who have “served for many years and has several vacancies. It is time for new blood and some renewed energy on the board.” The current board members spend less than an hour per month, on average, in their duties.

Anyone wishing to stand for election to the Board of Directors may submit their names for the printed ballot by e-mailing their full name, address, and phone number to board@deerfield-md.com. In addition, nominations will be accepted from the floor during the meeting. Anyone standing for election must be in good standing with the Homeowners Association with no outstanding dues, other financial issues, nor pending covenant violations.
