Creamery Park Renovation
Renovation of Creamery Park in Walkersville is scheduled to begin next week, March 13, 2023. The Town has not identified completion date. The park will be closed for the duration of the project.
The $325,000 renovation of Creamery Park was approved in July of 2022. The majority of the project is funded through grants. The first phase of the renovation was completed last year with the paving and improvements to the Creamery Park parking lot.
The Town hired Cunningham Recreation to remove the outdated equipment and install new features such as a Zero-G Swing Chair and a ADA compliant merry-go-round. The basketball court will be renovated with resurfacing, new paint, new hoops, and a new half-court. A new sidewalk will be installed to allow access to the playground from the parking lot.
