Community Gearing Up for Graduation Celebrations

Online enrollment is open for students NEW to Frederick County Public Schools! Parents may enroll their child in FCPS by creating an account here in English or here in Spanish. Additional information is online at https://www.fcps.org/student-services/enrolling-a-student.  All new enrollments, including pre-kindergarten (pre-k) and kindergarten, occur online in a secure virtual environment. Changes to Alert FC

Frederick County - News Flash

As of June 1, 2020, Frederick County’s emergency text alert service will change how it delivers long messages. Longer text messages will no longer be received in their entirety or across multiple text messages. Instead, a text will include a web link to the entire message. The change is a result of new formatting from Everbridge, the vendor who provides the Division of Emergency Management’s AlertFC service. The Frederick County Division of Planning & Permitting is pleased to announced the Temporary Outdoor Seating Application for Restaurants and Food Service Establishments is now live. Included in the application is the State of Maryland guidelines for Best Practices for Businesses to Reopen Restaurants. County Expands Phase One Re-Opening and Announces $2 Million for Volunteer Fire & Rescue

After two-weeks of a decrease in acute care beds and a plateauing of ICU beds used for COVID-19 patients, fewer patients needing ventilators, and the delivery of 100,000 gowns, N95 masks, and gloves this week, Frederick County Executive Jan Gardner announced the expansion of Phase One Re-Opening tomorrow. Gardner noted that the 100,000 clinical gowns delivered on Tuesday were three weeks late in being delivered.
