The Town of Walkersville’s Board of Appeals will meet on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. in Town Hall’s Meeting Room.
The Board of Appeals will elect new officers and review meetings from their last meeting on April 3, 2018.
The Board will then hold and orientation for the newest member of the Board of Appeals, Matthew Lubold, and those in attendance. The Board will discuss the Town Code, procedures, case examples, and case law.
According to the Town of Walkersville’s Web Site:
The Board of Appeals is a quasi-judicial board that is charged with the following:
- Hearing appeals involving a claim of administrative error with regard to the administration of the zoning ordinance,
- Granting variances of the zoning ordinance requirements when specific legal criteria are met;
- Reviewing land uses for which special exception approval is required by the Zoning Ordinance.
The Board meets on an as-needed basis on the first Tuesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Hall meeting room.
