Last night, The Reagan Years and a Ride-All-Night Special drew a very large crowd to the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company’s Carnival. Tonight, the Walkersville Volunteer Fire Company’s Carnival will feature all the wonderful food, games, and rides you expect tonight. The highlight, however, will come around 10:00 p.m. when the Fire Company hosts a celebration of Independence Day with its always wonderful fireworks display. To ensure efficient organization and management of Frederick County Government, County Executive Jan Gardner today announced supervisory changes that her Transition Team identified as a way to assist Chief Administrative Officer Doug Browning in his oversight of county divisions. Effective July 1, 2015, former Special Projects Manager Margaret Nusbaum has assumed responsibility for the supervision of the Animal Control Division, Citizens Services Division and the Office of Economic Development, and will act as the liaison to Frederick County Public Libraries, the Health Department and the Social Services Department. Reagan Years and Last Ride All Night Special

The Reagan Years will entertain crowds at the Walkersville Carnival tonight. The popular band always draws a large crowd and puts on a great show. Tonight’s All-You-Can-Eat Buffet will feature Fried Chicken, Ham, & Roast Turkey. Police were in a high speed pursuit through Walkersville and the surrounding area Friday night. The pursuit blasted through Old Town Walkersville on Pennsylvania Avenue up Biggs Ford. The driver took Fountain Rock Road to MD 194 and MD 26. Once in Frederick, he took 15 North to Old Frederick Road. He continued through Creagerstown and toward Thurmont. Trooper 3 provided air support to pursue the driver. The driver called 911 in both Frederick and Carroll Counties claiming to be suicidal. He threatened to crash his car while in communication…
