Mike also owns Digital Age Solution, an I.T. firm offering Managed Services, Computer Repairs & Sales, Voice Over IP Telephone Service, Networking, and Software Engineering. Walkersville Seeks Support for New Library

The Walkersville Library project, once side-lined due to budget restraints, returned to the budget last year, and will be a part of upcoming budget hearings. The plans will replace Walkersville’s very small library on West Frederick Street with a larger, state of the art library between South Glade Road and Polaris Drive. The County Executive’s hearing on the budget will be held tonight, March 16, 2016. The County Executive is in support of the project. The county awaits final confirmation of a $1,000,000 grant that will help fund the construction.…

Walkersville Planning Commission Updating

The Walkersville Planning Commission will meet Tuesday evening for its monthly workshop. The Planning Commission voted last month to update the Town’s Design Manual. This workshop will begin discussions to update the Design Manual. The Design Manual guides developers on meeting the expectations of the town. During its review of site plans for two planned developments, members of the Planning Commission questioned the outdated lighting standards. Members discussed adopting standards with LED lighting to save energy for the Town of Walkersville, and making sure everything else is up to date.…
