Mike is the publisher and editor of GladeValley.net. After growing up on a farm in Frederick County, Mike moved to Walkersville with his wife to start their family. Since moving to Walkersville, Mike and Emily's three children were born and attend local public schools.
Mike also owns Digital Age Solution, an I.T. firm offering Managed Services, Computer Repairs & Sales, Voice Over IP Telephone Service, Networking, and Software Engineering.
Mike actively participates in the community in various roles including:

Nelson Edward Trout
Nelson Edward Trout, 91 of Woodsboro, Maryland passed away on Friday, October 7th, 2016. He was the husband of the late Louise Trout who passed away in 2008. Born November 26, 1924 in Walkersville, MD he was the son of the late Grover and Perla Trout. Nelson was an active member of Graceham Moravian Church for many years. Lions Continue Winning Streak with 48-6 Win Over Cougars
The Walkersville Lions celebrated homecoming by continuing their winning streak. The Lions handily defeated the Catoctin Cougars 48 to 6. The Cougars were able to score once in the final moments of the third quarter. The Lions’ lead at the half-time triggered a rule that let the clock run without interruption unless there was a time-out or an injury. In the end, the Cougars could not climb out of the hole. Fireworks showered Walkersville as entire community celebrated the Lions victory and 6-0 record for the season!
