Annual Water Quality Reports Available Online

Consumer Confidence Reports for calendar year 2019 are now available on the Frederick County Government website (FrederickCountyMD.gov/WaterQualityReports), according to the Frederick County Division of Utilities and Solid Waste Management (DUSWM).

The Safe Drinking Water Act requires all community water systems to provide an annual Consumer Confidence Report to its customers.  Among other things, the report lists the regulated contaminants found in drinking water, as well as health effects information related to violations of the drinking water standards. Drinking water from all 13 of the water systems operated by DUSWM meets or exceeds all State and Federal drinking water standards.

Through the end of June, water customers will see a notice printed in their quarterly billing statement that includes a direct web link to their system’s report on the Frederick County web site.

“During this challenging time, please be assured that our teams are working around the clock to ensure continuity of service across our operations,” said DUSWM Acting Director Mark Schweitzer.  “Our staff are closely monitoring water quality at each of our facilities to ensure the drinking water they produce meets all State and Federal drinking water requirements.  Please take the time to read through this report and recognize the efforts of our staff to provide safe and reliable drinking water to our customers.”

Customers who are unable to view this report online can contact DUSWM at 301-600-1825 to request a paper copy, which will be mailed to them.

For further information or questions about the content of the CCR, contact Regulatory Compliance Department Head Terri Snyder-Kolovich at 301-600-2945 or via e-mail at tkolovich@FrederickCountyMD.gov.
