April 14 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. the City of Frederick Parks and Recreation Department will host the Spring Youth Fishing Rodeo at Culler Lake.
This free event is for ages 3-15. Youths and their families are encouraged to come out to spend the spring morning fishing. Staff will be on hand to assist with preparing fishing rods, casting, measuring,
and releasing fish.
The rodeo location is in Baker Park, at the corner of West Second Street and West College Terrace.
No fishing license is required in the state of Maryland for anyone younger than 16. Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing rods, if they have them. Bait will be provided, and a limited number of fishing rods will be available for use. Trophies will be awarded for participants with the largest fish and most fish caught.
