Walkersville Homecoming Festivities

Walkersville High School’s Homecoming is this week!

Students began festivities with Lumberjack Day on Friday, October 5th. Each day, students have celebrated with Polar Express / Pajama Day, Tacky Tuesday, No School on Wednesday, TV Character Day, and Spirit Colors / Class T-Shirts. A Pep Rally rounds out the week for students in the regular school day.

The Homecoming Parade begins at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Parade proceeds up Maple Avenue from Maryland Avenue, and then down West Frederick Street to the high school.

After the parade, the Walkersville Lions Varsity Football Team hits the gridiron for the Homecoming football game at 6:30 p.m. The Lions face the Catoctin Cougars.

The halftime show includes a presentation of the Homecoming court, fireworks, and the announcement of this year’s Homecoming King and Queen.

Saturday night, the school holds its Homecoming Dance. Students will celebrate their homecoming to the theme of a Winter Wonderland.
