US Navy Blue Angels Fly In Chicago

Over the summer I visited my grandparents in Illinois. While visiting the Navy Pier I was treated to an early practice of the Chicago Air and Water show on the 14th of August.
August 17th masses of people gathered around the Michigan lakefront to witness the US Navy Blue Angels. Due to the unfortunate weather that occurred Thursday afternoon the show was delayed many times and then canceled last minute.
“You got to see what thousands didn’t; isn’t that pretty awesome?” my grandmother inquired after hearing about the cancellation over the news Thursday evening.
I’d have to say it definitely is a cool feeling to have seen something many waited for but never got to see.
“Quite the lucky girl you are.” my grandmother concludes.
