You may have noticed the newest addition to the Market Square restaurant family, Tropical Smoothie Café.
Tropical Smoothie opened on December 8th and has been a hub for student activity ever since!
Tropical Smoothie has nearly 30 smoothies on their menu made with delicious fresh fruits such as mangos, strawberries, bananas, raspberries, pineapple, kiwi, lime, blueberries, and peaches. You can add a supplement to your smoothie for $0.99. The supplements offered at our Tropical Smoothie location are Probiotic, Multi Vitamin, Energizer, Vitamin C, Fat Burner, Vitamin B, Whey Protein, Pea Protein, and Soy Protein.
In addition to their smoothies, Tropical Smoothie Café also has a food menu that has sandwiches, wraps, salads, flatbreads, and tacos.
I have been to Tropical Smoothie several times and I love how fresh all the ingredients are. My favorite meal combo is the Chicken Caesar salad and the Sunrise Sunset smoothie with a whey protein boost!
“I have visited Tropical Smoothie before on Long Island and I have always been a smoothie fan so when I heard they were opening one in Frederick I was ecstatic. It is the best place to get a fresh smoothie that never disappoints,” said Kaitlyn Tokarz.
“It’s a great post workout snack. Always hits the spot!” said Ally Bolyard who grabs a smoothie after her workout at Sport and Health.
“I highly recommend the ‘Smoothie and a half’ deal because you get half a sandwich or salad with a regular size smoothie and it is only $7!” said Lauren Keane.
Keane also added “The Bahama Mama smoothie is my favorite!”
Jillian Atelsek said “It was good and I was impressed with the food. I had a sandwich and it was delicious.”
While a lot of students enjoy Tropical Smoothie, there are a few who do not.
Jackson Larimore said “I don’t like them because I got a blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry smoothie and there were too many seeds so I did not drink it.”
Stephanie Salazar said “There was too much hype around it.”
