Tri-M Inducts New Members for the 2016/2017 School Year

On Wednesday, January 11th, Tri-M had their inductions for the 2016/2017 school year. Tri-M stands for Modern Music Masters and is a National Honors Society for people that are in different music programs here at WHS. Being inducted into something like this is a very fun and exciting thing because they can be a part of something that they love and doing it with others who enjoy the same things
“I feel really excited about it. Music is something I really enjoy so I’m grateful to be a part of this,” sophomore Madelyn Leach said.
“I’m very excited. Music had been a part of my life for about ten years and I’m very excited to get to do something great with it,” said sophomore Erin Kopit.
“I am the President of Tri-M and I was a little nervous too. I had a speech to give about the future along with my fellow officers who gave speeches on the past and present of Tri-M. I think all of our speeches gave an inspiring message to the new members. We need students and musicians who are passionate and driven to continue this wonderful organization. Like I said in my speech, I want our impression upon this community, through music, to be boundless and everlasting,” commented senior Caylee Winpigler.
However, not all feelings were of excitement, “I’m worried but I’m glad that their having formal inductions,” stated senior Noni Hill.
Although nerves are a normal part to any ceremony, the inductees were definitely grateful to have this opportunity, “I think it’s a good thing thing for us that Tri-m is growing,” junior Donald Linn said.
If you want to get inducted to something like the people of the modern music masters (Tri-M), then find something that you love to do and figure out the requirements that are set for you to be inducted. Putting in the work to be inducted into something is worth it. If you know anyone that got inducted to Tri-M, congratulate them on the hard work they put into music and the effort they put in so they could get inducted.
