FCPS Seeks Calendar Committee Members

Frederick County Public Schools invites parents, community members, and teachers to serve on the school system’s calendar committee. The members will form the proposed 2015 – 2016 school year calendar. The committee will meet Thursdays, October 2, 16, 30, and Wednesday, November 12 from 4 – 6 p.m. Interested parents and community members should complete the application at www.fcps.org/calendar as soon as possible and no later than Wednesday, September 24. School students are now all back in the classroom. As August ends, Frederick County Public Schools remind families of students that there will be a number of scheduled school closings and an early dismissal in September. The following dates should be noted: Monday, September 1, 2014: Schools and Office Closed for Labor Day Friday, September 19, 2014: Schools Closed for Fair Day Wednesday, September 24, 2014: 2-Hour Early Dismissal for Teacher Mid-Term Work Session Thursday, September 25, 2014: Schools Closed for Rosh Hashanah.
