Eva Lopez is a sophomore at Walkersville High School. Lopez enjoys hanging out with friends and playing video games. Eva is also a unified track and field state champion and though she looks forward to track which starts in the Spring, her favorite season is Summer.
There is nothing this girl cannot do. Lopez is also an artist specializing in drawing and painting. As ironic as it is, her favorite class in school is art, but she also focuses in on her studies. “I love art, but I also like getting good grades,” said Lopez.
Recently, Walkersville High put together a wonderful homecoming celebration. Recalling her experience, Lopez looked back on how much fun she had dancing. “I had so much fun dancing around with my friends,” said Lopez.
Lopez was a dancer and a cheerleader for two years, experimenting with many different styles including ballet, tap and irish dancing.
Lopez loves cookouts and parties with family. She recently visited the Bahamas with them. Lopez absolutely loved swimming in the water and hanging out with her loved ones. Frequently, they watch college football and root for Penn State together.
With so many great hobbies, surely, there must be no time for anything else. Well, think again. Lopez is also a member of the Leadership Club at Walkersville High School, taking charge in her community to make a difference.
What future lies ahead for this shining star? Lopez dreams to become an actress and wants to be in the movies.
“Eva is very caring to her friends and she loves her music. She loves to hangout with her friends but her favorite thing to do is shop,” said Special Education teacher Carol Disimone.
“I think she is wonderful. She’s sweet. She’s got an amazing future ahead of her,” said senior Jesse Maher.
“She’s really nice,” said junior Alexis Mibella.
Keep shining Eva, the WHS Lions wish you the best of luck.
