Internet Safety Parent Night
Frederick County Public School’s Catoctin Community School Counselors invite parents of students to hear guest speaker, Vince DeVivo. Mr. DeVivo will be the featured speaker for “Internet Safety Parent Night” on Monday, November 14, 2016.
Be an informed parent! Technology advances today are moving faster than ever making it hard to keep up! New sites are popping up on-line daily. Keeping our children and teens safe on-line is a constant challenge for parents.
Don’t miss the presentation by Vince DeVivo of the U.S. Attorney’s Office entitled “Innocence Stolen: Protecting Our Children and Teens On-Line.” Come learn about social networking/media, cyber bullying, sexting, Internet predators, and local community resources. The program will provide helpful prevention and intervention strategies and internet safety resources for parents and other adults.
The evening begins with a Community Resource Fair and refreshments from 5:30 – 6:00 p.m. From 6:00 – 7:30 p.m., the featured presentation and speaker will take place.
The event will take place at Catoctin High School, 14745 Sabillasville Roadd in Thurmont, Maryland.
