Applications for Holiday assistance will be available on our website starting Oct 1st at www.Gladevalley.org or http://gladevalley.org/services/the-holiday-toy-shoppe. If you don’t have access to a computer or prefer in person, we will make an appointment. Please call 301-845-0213 for an appointment.You will have to leave a message and a good contact number. We will call back as a private caller. Dates available for appointments: Oct 6, Oct 14, Oct 21, and Oct 28. Appointments should take 15 min and are being made every 30 minutes from 9 a.m. -5 p.m. (or later if needed).
Due to Covid-19, we are not taking walk-ins this year. You must wear a mask for in-person appointments. They will be held at Walkersville Town Hall.
ALL participants MUST re-apply and prove eligibility every year!
For ages 0-18. 18-year old’s must be students in High School.
To qualify you must live in the Walkersville Feeder School area and have proof of both financial need and residency.
YOU MUST PROVIDE ALL of the following at registration.
*Proof of Income and/or Financial Need as explained below.
*The parent’s / guardian’s picture ID and proof of residency (copy of a bill)
*Grandparents applying must have legal proof of guardianship
*Birth Certificate for all children
*Registering parent’s name must be on the birth certificate (or have legal paperwork stating why no birth certificate)
*Clothing and sock (shoe) size for children 0-10 years of age.
Financial proof: Can include any of the following:
*Child’s MD Child Health Card
*SNAP card renewal paperwork NOT their card (for the current year)
*Free Meal Program school paperwork
*Proof of income (pay stubs).
The distribution date will be Wednesday, December 9th, and will be a curbside pickup. We will discuss your time slot when you sign up.
