Last week, Rutter’s opened its doors and fuel pumps becoming the third such facility built or expanded in so many years. Next month, Frederick County will hear plans for a fourth such business along the same two mile stretch of Woodsboro Pike through Walkersville. As a result of ongoing monitoring of registered sex offenders in Frederick County, the Sheriff’s Office in October has charged the following registered sex offenders with violating conditions associated with being placed on the sex offender registry. Walkersville Re-Elects Incumbents and Four New Commissioners
Residents of the Town of Walkersville re-elected Burgess Chad Weddle and Commissioner Mary Ann Brodie-Ennis in the Town’s triennial elections Monday, September 10, 2018. Chad Weddle was first elected Commissioner in 1996, and elected Burgess in 2015. This will be Mr. Weddle’s second term as Burgess. Mary Ann Brodie-Ennis is currently serving her first term as Town Commissioner after being elected in 2015.
