Walkersville Invites Bids to Lease Walker Farm

The Town of Walkersville is accepting sealed bids until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 20, 2016 for the leasing of approximately 200 acres of agricultural land for the planting, growing and harvesting of crops at the Walker Farm located at 8939 Woodsboro Pike, Walkersville, MD. The lease runs from January 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017. The Burgess and Commissioners of Walkersville reserves the right, at its sole option, to renew the lease for an additional 5 years on a year to year basis with same price and conditions. A bid…

As a follow-up to the October public meeting and discussions about Walkersville crime, the Town of Walkersville invites the public to a Citizens’ Public Information Presentation. The presentation will be held on Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall. Frederick County residents who wish to register to vote in the April 26, 2016 Presidential Primary Election are reminded that the deadline for voter registration is 9 p.m. on Tuesday, April 5, 2016. The same deadline applies to voters who are already registered and wish to make changes to their name, address, or party affiliation before the Primary Election.
