One item on the Ballot in Frederick County this year seems to be getting a lot of attention. The item, known as Question D, is a proposal by the Career Firefighters Association of Frederick County to amend Frederick County’s Charter, the document that lays out how Frederick County’s Government will be formed and how it work, much like a constitution for a state or our country. This year county voters will face Question “D” on the ballot, a proposed charter amendment that “will require the County Council to provide by ordinance for binding arbitration by a neutral arbitrator whose decision MUST be funded by the county budget”. Registered voters in Frederick County can vote early before the 2018 General Election. This year, Early Voting occurs Oct. 25 through Nov. 1, 10 a.m. – 8 p.m. each day. There are four Early Voting locations in Frederick County, and voters can use any of the four centers to cast their vote.
