The Frederick County Human Relations Commission will present its 2019 Awards, along with the Student Excellence Awards to an outstanding student from each of the county’s public high schools, at an Awards Dinner on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Dutch’s Daughter, 581 Himes Avenue in Frederick, Md. Walkersville Friends of the Walkersville Library Hosting “Run for the Books 5K”

The Friends of the Walkersville Library will host a new fundraiser, Run for the Books 5-K, on Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Heritage Farm Park. The first Annual Run with the Books is hosted by Friends of the Walkersville Library and Deborah Wallace Allstate Insurance. The race is scheduled during the festive Walkersville Days celebration. Participants will run on paved pathways that meander through the grounds of Heritage Farm Park which offers a fairly even elevation.
