Blue and Gold Day Brings Out the Spirit for Students and Staff
WHS Lions Pride Original Story:
by Taylor McClelland
Spirit Week is coming to end but Walkersville’s school spirit never dies. Spirit Week wouldn’t be complete without a Blue and Gold Spirit Day.
Walkersville High School’s halls are filled with students dressed from head to toe in blue and gold. Kevin Anderson, a junior, said “My closet is basically made for Walkersville.”
Blue and gold aren’t the only colors the student body is wearing. Many of the students are wearing shirts that represent their class. Each student wears a different letter to spell out their class. Emily Miller, a senior, said “2015 is where it’s at. Squad up!”
The administration is even helping with the Spirit Day celebration by selling spirit wear. Many of the students are buying the spirit wear in order to prepare for tonight’s homecoming football game. Brooke Tucker, a sophomore, said “I grabbed every blue and gold item in my closet for tonight.”
Support your Lions tonight in their homecoming game against Oakdale.
