Fatal Crash on Old Frederick Road

On Sunday, May 3rd, 2020, at approximately 12:39 a.m., the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to the 13300 block Old Frederick Road in Rocky Ridge for a crash. Patrol deputies arrived and discovered a single-vehicle crash involving a Dodge Ram pickup truck that had left the roadway, impacted a tree, and caught fire. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit Crash Reconstruction Team responded to the scene and is attempting to identify the driver of the vehicle. On April 29, 2020, the Frederick Police Department took a missing person report in reference to Emily Elizabeth Martinez, a 16 year-old female.  The reporting person had last seen her in the area of the 500 block of Eisenhower Drive in Frederick on April 29.  Emily Martinez is approximately 5 feet, 3 inches tall and about 150 pounds.  She has brown eyes and brown hair. Troopers Increasing Presence On Capital Beltway – Warning To Commercial Trucks Issued

Maryland State Police are increasing their presence and alerting commercial truck traffic after two tractor trailer crashes within 12 hours on the Capital Beltway in Montgomery County, which both had contributing factors that included speed too great for conditions and driver inattention.
