Mike also owns Digital Age Solution, an I.T. firm offering Managed Services, Computer Repairs & Sales, Voice Over IP Telephone Service, Networking, and Software Engineering. Mike actively participates in the community in various roles including: Walkersville Planning & Zoning Commission Member, Kaleidoscope 4-H Club Leader, Friends of Walkervsille Library, Vice-President, Frederick County 4-H Camp & Activities Center, Inc. Bear Sighting in Walkersville

Due to reports of a bear sighted un Walkersville, the following schools were placed on a partial lockdown for approximately an hour this morning as a precautionary safety measure: Walkersville High Walkersville Middle Walkersville Elementary Glade Elementary Staff Development Center The partial lockdown is now lifted and schools are operating normally; all students and staff are safe. A black bear was spotted near the churches along Biggs Ford Road near the Creek Side neighborhood.

Town of Walkersville Seeking Election Judges

The Town of Walkersville will appoint its Election Judges at the May 23, 2018 Town Meeting. Five judges and two alternates will be appointed to serve at the Monday, September 10, 2018 election. Polls open from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Any eligible citizen interested in being appointed is asked to submit a letter of interest by Friday, May 18, 2018, 4:30 p.m. to the Town office at 21 West Frederick Street, P.O. Box 249, Walkersville, MD 21793.

The Town of Walkersville is seeking applicants to serve on the Ethics Commission. The commission administers the Cod of Ethics, Chapter 26 of the Town Code. They review Financial Disclosure Forms, conflicts of interest, and insure that the Town is in compliance with State of Maryland ethics requirements. The Ethics Commission is an advisory board to the Burgess and Commissioners and includes three members and one alternate member.
