Walkersville Burgess and Commissioners’ Town Meeting

Walkersville’s Burgess and Commissioners will hold a Town Meeting on Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at 7:30 p.m. in Walkersville Town Hall.

The Burgess and Commissioners will receive an update on the planned building at Heritage Farm Park. The Town plans to provide GVAA with a space for storage and wrestling practices. When the Walkersville Planning Commission reviewed plans, they sent the plans back with questions. After a joint meeting between the Park Commission, the Planning Commission, the Burgess, and Town Commissioners, changes to the plans were presented to the Planning Commission. Further changes were suggested at that time, and some members of the Planning Commission expressed concerns that the plans were developed by the same company that reviews plans for compliance for the town.

The Town will also update plans for the year-long celebration of Walkersville’s 125th Anniversary in 2017.

The public is welcome to attend all Town Meetings.
